Sunrise

I can't take credit for this one.  I was sound asleep in bed this morning when Kori took a few minutes off from feeding Camille to grab this.

Hallelujah Flash Mob

This is a great performance, flash mob style or not.

Dancing

There's been an unusual amount of dancing going on lately.  I attribute the phenomenon to an increase in blood sugar levels due to enhanced cookie and pie consumption but I don't have the statistical data to back that up.
Lilly doing her speciality, the Tutu Lantern dance.

Lilly and Nana doing a dance to be named later.

Camille and I almost dancing.

The Camilleon

I have nothing exciting to write about, but I do have a cute kid.

Christmas Ships

Tonight we headed over to Lilly's Nana and Papa's house and took in a parade of lighted ships.  Lilly enjoyed yelling Merry Christmas! as they passed and I had a pretty good time playing around with some long exposure shots.

A purty night sky
Kori and Lilly doing their best to hold still for 15 seconds.  Anybody shocked that Lilly's a complete blur?
Here come the ships.  Unfortuneatly they wouldn't hold still for me either.

Crib be gone

Today was Lilly's first day sleeping outside the walled compound known as her crib. She'd recently made a few sucessfull escape attempts against said crib so we figured the walls were no longer usefull anyway. She seemed pretty happy about her new bed, mostly because of the sweet comforter she picked out almost entirely on her own. By almost I mean I may have offered her my opinion on the matter in an impartial, factually sound manner.

Thanksgiving

I'm a little spaced out on on tryptophan and pumpkin pie at the moment so I'm just gonna post some pictures.

Lilly, Camille and Nana starting the day off with some arts and craftiness.  Some of the arts involved chocolate muffins so Lilly actually sat reasonably still and participated for quite a while.

Lilly craftifying a muffin while Camille looks on with envy.

The Bird!  Joe's first attempt at frying a turkey came out pretty well.  And better yet, no structures were consumed by fire.
The aftermath.
Our first attempt at a group pic after dinner.  If somebody could keep their kids under control it would have only taken one try.
Lilly biting her lip, fighting the urge to run around in circles right before the flash is about to go off.
Camille and Papa sharing some deep thoughts.

Snow!

Over the last couple days hurricane Lilly has traded in her usual mud puddle forays for the frosty funness of snow.  Its been her first real chance to play in the white stuff and its quickly becoming her favorite thing ever.

DSC_0031This was during our snow angel lesson.  She didn’t quite grasp a few of the concepts and ended up flapping around like a bird stuck on its back.

After the kiddies were in bed I wondered around the neighborhood with my tripod looking for something to shoot (which will, by the way, get you stared at by the neighbors).

DSC_0016 This was from our front door.

DSC_0018This was my first try at shooting a little pond by our place.  It was a 25 second exposure and a big gust of wind kicked up a big cloud of snow about 15 seconds in.  The ghost image is the last few seconds of the exposure taken after I swiveled the camera away from the snow.

DSC_0023A shot of the street.

DSC_0029One last street shot.  At this point I was a bit numb so I packed it in for the evening.

Visiting the dirt farm with Lilly

Today Lilly and I decided to check out a local farm to have some fun while Kori was busy around the house.  Despite walking about 38 miles through rows and rows of pumpkins, we
never did find the perfect one (according to Lilly) and ended up coming home with a nice gourd and five pounds of farm fresh dirt.

Looking for the perfect pumpkin.

Some of that farm fresh dirt.  Don't tell Kori but Lilly may have had a couple pounds of it in her boots and I may have accidentally dumped most of it in the back seat of her car.
Still looking for a pumpkin.  By this point we were 19 miles from the farm and had wondered into the gourd section.  You'll notice that we had the whole gourd field to ourselves at least...

Checking out the tractors on the way home.

Goats!

After a few days quarantined inside our house after bringing little Camille home, we all finally got out this Saturday for a quick trip to Lattin's farm in Olympia.  Lattin's has all kinds of farm animals for Lilly to look at, along with a abundant supply of mud puddles for jumping in (when Nana isn't paying attention).

Checking out the piggy

Saying hi to a goat.  If you look close you can see Lilly has mud up to her knees already.  She hit every mud puddle on the 20 foot dirt path between the pigs and the goats.

Looking at some duckies

Chillin on the bed

Having a little rest while Mom and Dad play with poses.  We'll try that one without the diaper when we're a little braver :)
