Weekend with the Fam

This weekend we headed up to Monroe to see Derek, Lacie and my little Nephew Braedon.  It was fun to see the kiddies play together even if Lilly seemed to think that she had been put in charge of the festivities.

Nana's Birthday

Nana Fankhauser turned 29 again this week so we all showed up at her house for the required eating of cake.

Evening at Tumwater Park, Olympia, WA

Lilly was rather rambunctious one evening so we decided to drive around and see what play areas we could find. While Lilly and I played on the slide, Matt walked down to the water and took pictures of some territorial ducks. With the sun low in the sky he called me and Lilly over and we found a nice shady spot to take a family picture. Then we went to a walking trail and took some pictures of Lilly racing with her daddy. Fun evening, as you can see Lilly is red from huffing and puffing, she loves to run! Might have a future marathoner in the family. Mom will be there to cheer them on :)

Sun!

We joined a few thousand other, pale, slightly soggy Puget Sounders today out in the sunshine in attempt to dry out and create some sort of coloration on ourselves (I succeeded with a nice, pinkish red).  We had plenty of nice outdoorsy stuff to choose from as Olympia's farmers market and the annual wooden boat festival were both in progress just a few hundred yards from Capital Lake.

A few of the Boats.  They had everything from one person sailboats to 60 foot yachts tied up in the harbor.
After the boats we headed over to the farmers market.
It wouldn't be a Wilson family outing if there wasn't some time reserved for the eating of tasty things.
Headed around Capital Lake.
